Heinz von Herzig's Story...
Heinz von Herzig is a stunning 18 month old, well bred German Shepherd. It amazes us every time we find such gorgeous shepherds in shelters. Heinz must have had some training, he walks very well on leash, he sits on command (even without treats) and seems to be a gentle boy. Nothing seemed to faze him much while our volunteer walked him around a busy city street. One of the endearing things about Heinz is how he walks a little ahead of you sometimes (without pulling), then turns back and comes right over for a few seconds of attention (a pet or ear rub) then continues walking only to turn back and come back to you again, and again. It's just too cute. He doesn't alert much to other dogs other than the usual curiosity. He's a dog who will bond very quickly and will be a major love muffin for someone. Heinz needs to gain a few pounds and have a good bath .. and he will be even more beautiful than he is now.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heinz von Herzig, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
