Dawsey's Story...
Hey there! My name is Dawsey and I was just rescued from a hoarding situation. I am about 2-years-old and great with other dogs! I walk nicely on leash and am doing very well on my housetraining! I am not sure what to think of the cats, so I just leave them be. I am a very gentle dog who loves belly rubs and to be with people!

Please note that Little Mutts Rescue adoption fees are generally $400 for adults, and $450 for puppies. Includes spay / neuter, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchip, and a vet certificate of health (please note that if puppies are born in Calgary, we do not have a vet certificate to provide). If you are interested, please submit an adoption application - http://www.littlemuttsrescue.org/adopt/index.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawsey, a Calgary Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
