Cowboy's Story...
I am a really sweet and smart young man. I can do some tricks, like sit, sit pretty, roll over and play fetch. I like playing with toys, and I love attention. I like other dogs and get along with cats, once introduced properly. I am crate-trained, and it wouldn't take much to house-train me. And I am pretty rambunctious so it would probably be better for me to be with older kids. I would love to have more training too, because I think I would be great at dog sports and/or agility training. All I'm asking for is a chance - let me show you how much love I have to give!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cowboy, a Richmond Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
