Jake's Story...
Jake is such a beautiful, special dog. It's sad to consider that he has spent his first year of life in someone's back yard. Heelers are such incredible dogs with so much potential. Jake could learn all sorts of things with a little bit of training and guidance. We are looking for a new family for Jake - one who will get him into positive reinforcement-based obedience training. After just a few minutes of leash training, Jake already had the hang of it. This is a dog who wants to learn and wants to please his person. Jake's best friend is Corona. They have shared the same back yard all of Jake's life, so they are very attached to each other. We would love to find an adopter who will adopt Jake and Corona together. If you are considering adopting 2 dogs, you would know right away that these 2 would get along beautifully. Jake deserves to truly be a member of a family. If you are interested in giving Jake a permanent home, please complete our online application today at www.tassieshope.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Carrollton Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
