Cosmo's Story...
Cosmo --- Rescue date: 10-10-05.....
Hello. My name is Cosmo. I am a young male chocolate min pin. I came to be with Friends of Penny because my family was experiencing difficult circumstances. I came to FOP with my friend Paris. I love other fact almost more than I love humans. But once I form a bond with my humans...well I will be your very best friend. I have just started to learn to walk on a leash and I'm doing a pretty good job. I seem to be a little on the nervous side. But with time, love and lots of patience, I think I can learn to overcome. I will be coming to live with my foster family at the end of this month. I know I have already been neutered and am up to date on my shots. My new foster family will tell you more about me once I arrive. If you think you would like me to adopt you as my new family, please let me know right away.

UPDATE: 11-8-05
Hi everyone. I’m back to tell you a little more about me. I have been at my foster home now for over a week and my foster family really loves me! I really like it when foster mom or dad sits on the sofa and I can cuddle up next to them, especially when they rub me and talk to me. They tells me I am a very sweet boy. And guess what? I don’t go to the potty in the house! My foster mom says that means I am housebroke. I also like to cuddle up in the BIG bed (under the covers) at night. If my human is too busy and I want to cuddle, I go find one of my furbrothers or fursisters and cuddle up with them. My foster mom says that I really get along great with all the other furkids at her house. So I would really prefer to have a sibling in my furever home.

Now I didn’t want to tell you this part but my foster mom is making me so here goes. I know how to climb chain link fences. I don’t know how I learned how to do this, but because I know how my foster mom says I can only go to a furever home with a wooden privacy fence or no fence at all (which means you will have to take me out on a leash). This is for my own safety. I just can’t help myself. And what is more, I don’t do it all the time. Just whenever I get ready. And since my foster family has a chain link fence I can’t go in the yard without a human to watch over me. But that is my only flaw (I call it talent…hehe).

So if you are looking for a sweet, handsome, lovable boy and you can work around my “talent”, then please submit your application for me to adopt you. I am ready to begin my new life with my furever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo, a Greensboro Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
