Otis's Story...
This is Otis. He is a very sweet little boy who is well behaved & well trained. I got him when he was just a pup, about 3-4 months old. He is now about a year & 3 months old. He was living with a man who was sleeping on my neighbor's couch, so the man was essentially homeless. The last day before we took over responsibility for him, Otis spent the whole day, along with his sister, in a plastic crate in the man's car because he had no where else for them to go. When I agreed to allow him to use my large outdoor dog kennel, he placed both dogs in there with no food, water or proper shelter; in the snow! That was when my boyfriend & I knew we had inherited 2 puppies along with our 6 cats, 1 dog & 1 rabbit in and around our 875 square foot duplex. I would love to keep Otis, but he deserves a better home than I am able to or can afford to provide. Otis is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative & microchipped. He has also received a couple of visits from the dog behaviorists at Middle Tennessee Dog Psychology. He has been living with a 2-year-old for many months & they have become close brothers. At this point we are in need of a good foster or forever home for him. Please call or email me if you can help Otis. I am able to respond quicker to emails, though.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otis, a Gallatin American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
