My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

5-6 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.

Moe is the quintessential minpin: batwing ears, bright brown eyes, barrel chest and a thick black-and-tan coat. He walks the minpin prance and does the minpin dance when he sees you. He loves toys, loves bones, and enjoys playing quietly on his own. Occasionally he's full of himself, and he's got the cutest strut! He can be overcome with his own enthusiasm, and you'll see a sudden burst and scamper in a circle, his back legs trying to outrun his front legs! Moe is housebroken and crate trained, and recently went thru some potty communication training, so when he has to go, he RUNS to the back door, pushes on it, and looks back at you expectantly! He enjoys going outside in a small fenced yard to lay in the sun, or to play with others for a little while. Moe needs to be fed away from others, ideally in his crate, for he is protective of food and toys.

Moe used to be touch-sensitive, taking issue with being poked, grabbed, or held against his wishes, but we now think it might have been related to some disgestive discomfort - this has been resolved, he's had 6 weeks with the family being touched a lot, and he's become quite affectionate. He's learned that your touch is affectionate too. Moe respects space, and wants his respected from time to time. He won't jump on you, even when you come home, but when you are sitting he may get up on the couch and sidle up to you sideways with his head bowed, inviting you to stroke his neck or chest. He now enjoys attention and is especially tender and content when he gets to snuggle. Moe is sweet, loving and self-entertaining, and would do best in a home without children. He wants to be all yours - so contact us at SCNC_IMPS@yahoo.com!
