Ike's Story...
Hi my name is Ike I came to the rescue at 2 weeks old with my siblings when our mom was killed by a car. They rescue took real good care of us, including bottle feeing every few hours. We all survived and are healthy now but my sister Queenie and I are the only two that haven't been adopted. We are very cute. We like to play and run, and we listen real good. But we really need to have our own home so we can get individual attention. We are crate and house trained and we are very smart. Could you maybe think about bringing us home. We promise we will be good.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ike, a HOBOKEN Dachshund/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Australian Shepherd for sale in HOBOKEN, or seeking a Dachshund/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in HOBOKEN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in HOBOKEN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a HOBOKEN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Dachshund/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in HOBOKEN paves the way for another one to be saved.
