Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a very beautiful, cuddly, sleek, playful, energetic, agile, athletic, yet shy, two-year-old, 35-pound, black and white Corgi-mix looking for a loving home. Lucy is living in a wonderful foster home with other dogs and cats. She is well-behaved in the home, very playful with the other dogs, respectful of the cats, housebroken and crate trained. She gets along famously with everyone … except for the man in the home. She warms up to women fairly quickly, but is petrified of men. Lucy is looking for a patient, dog-loving home with only women who will help her conquer her fear. Lucy is very healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm-tested, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of One Tail at a Time rescue group. To meet and possibly adopt or foster Lucy, please fill in an adoption application at http://www.onetail.org/adoption/survey/ and you can follow up by contacting Anna at annaotat@gmail.com or Andrea at 847-666-7089.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Chicago Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
