Tinkerbell2's Story...
Tinkerbell2 is a lovely girl. She has been front declawed. We require an adoption application and approval before we set an appointment to meet the cat as all of our cats are in private homes for foster care. This is our policy and no exception will be made. Thank you for your interest. As a policy for our rescue we do NOT adopt cats/kittens for gifts. We have to screen the adopter who will be owning the cat. Not a person who is thinking to give as a gift. So if you are looking to adopt for a family member LIVING IN THE SAME HOME AS YOU, then you can applyt. We make no exception to this policy for those wanting to adopt a cat/kitten to give as a gift. If you are interested and want to pay the adoption fee for the person adopting to help them adopt then we screen them and you pay the adoption fee. This is a good option and has been done before. We have all our policies to protect our cats and appreciate youf thinking of a rescue kitty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinkerbell2, a Columbus Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
