Chloe's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chloe's Story...
Chloe (red) and Buddy (black and tan) are an adorable pair of 2-3 year old smooth mini doxies sadly surrendered by their owner because the new baby in the home was allergic. They are very sweet, friendly and playful and enjoy each other's company, and have lived with other dogs and cats. Buddy has a very unique short silky coat with a few tiny fringes of longer hair on his tail and back legs- he probably has a little bit of long-hair doxie in his pedigree. They are crate-trained and mostly housebroken once on a schedule. This pair will be a lot of fun for anyone who appreciates this special breed.

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes or boarding kennels and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions- sorry, we do not adopt to NYC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Oak Ridge Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Oak Ridge, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Oak Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
