found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Bridgett was in a boarding facility for her entire life until recently. She hadn't quite learned her name when we got her , but it only took a day or two for her to learn. She is a very smart girl! That being said, I think it would be very easy for her to learn a new name should you want to change it. She also hadn't been taught to sit, but she has picked that up very quickly too! She is a medium-sized dog, about 40-50 lbs. However, she will probably get a little bit larger as she's not quite full-grown yet.
She has been around our neighborhood children and has been so wonderful with them! They help me walk her and love on her and she loves every minute of it! She has gotten along great with the four other dogs she has been living with, one being a puppy and the others being larger dogs (Golden Retriever, Great Pyrenees mix, German Shepherd mix). She does great in a fenced yard, doesn't try to jump or dig.
She has a great coat for someone with allergies as it is fairly short and she doesn't shed much at all. The little that she does shed is easily dealt with if brushed regularly. She is very receptive to correction (the little that it's needed), and easily picks up on desired behaviors. She would be in heaven to be able to attend obedience school as she so desperately just wants to please you!
She is playful, as any 9-month-old puppy would be, but she easily calms down when she gets her daily walks. She absolutely LOVES human affection and desires nothing more than to be getting love and hugs! She also loves to give kisses and to splash around in our little kiddie pool in the backyard!
She's wonderfully crate trained and feels very at ease in one. She has shown great house manners though she's never lived in one before! We're working on not eating something just because it's within reach, but the problem is minimal at best, so I don't think that will be much of a problem for long. She has done well being crated as well as staying outside when we're gone, depending on how long we're gone and the weather.
I hope you seriously consider making her a part of your family, as I have no doubts that you will fall in love with this sweet girl. She so desperately just wants a family of her own to love on her all the time!
