Elin's Story...
This lovely young lady is Elin. Elin came to live with us a couple weeks ago and boy is she cute. The crazy thing is the lady that relinquished her does not know where she began???? I guess her daughter inherited her from a friend and somehow AZBHR ended up with Elin. She is approx. a year to 2 yrs old and is a baby. She loves to play, follows me (her foster mommy) every where and favorites are snuggling and belly rubs! She has three basset to play with here at her foster home and she loves them. She is great to her foster daddy and greets him at the door when he gets home from work at night. She also has a two legged foster sister that is 14 and she loves to hang out in her room!!! I don't think Elin should go to a home with little children because the woman who relinquished her said she doesn't like little children. They make her nervous. She is totally potty trained and spayed and will be up to date on all shots soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elin, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
