Fudge's Story...
I’m Fudge. I am a sweet boy but I had a rough start when my family abandoned me in an empty house and I time passed before I was discovered. That means I’m a little shy at first but I do warm up nicely. I must be a particularly attractive purebred chocolate Lab as people are always commenting on my appearance. I do have a gorgeous, glossy coat in a divine color. I’m one to two years old and I’m great with other dogs, cats, and people. People describe me as being pretty mellow. I’d rather hang out on a dog bed near you or lean against your leg than to bounce off the wall like some other young Labs. And I already know some basic commands. Are you looking for a sweet, calm boy who is just looking for a little kindness? If so, ask about me!

We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $250, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $195 and our super seniors are $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fudge, a Evergreen Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
