Landy's Story...
*Courtesy Post*

Hi there! My name is Landy and I am a Lab x looking for a family to call my own! I am about 9-12 months old and about 50 lbs. I was recently discovered at a local landfill, badly wounded on my hindquarters from an encounter with a Javelina. I am being looked after and should make a full recovery! I have beautiful, silky soft fur and a soulful gaze. I love to be petted and do the Lab lean-sitting on your feet and leaning against your legs so I can maximize my contact with you, generating more petting in the process. Although I hadnt had much contact with humans before now, I have very nice manners and already know to be gentle. I am quick to learn and eager to please! I am told I am a wonderful dog who would make an excellent addition to any family.

Please contact Becky at if you are interested in adopting me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Landy, a Calgary Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
