Samantha's Story...
ahhh, "Samantha", what a great dog! We all love her here. She's become quite the favorite in a very short time. She had been a service dog for her owner who recently died, and the family can't take her. She knows lots of English commands, has very nice manners and is good with everyone....kids, dogs, cats and other small animals. If you tell her "cute", she will put her paw over her nose...which is, of course, very cute! She will tell you when she wants to go out. She's good on a leash and enjoys car rides. This is just a really great dog, I'm tellin' ya! She's already spayed, microchipped and had her shots. Her adoption fee is just $30. She may be classed as a "senior" here (8 years) but she's a youngster in my book! Come in and visit with her in our doggie play yard, but get ready to fall in love! Kennel #55.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samantha, a El Cajon Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
