Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penelope is a gorgeous, all-gray medium/ long-haired cat with huge green eyes. Penelope is gentle, calm, and keeps somewhat to herself, but once she gets used to you she loves being stroked and tickled under her chin. She loves playing “fetch” with little furry mice, and also likes to find high places she can jump to. She has a very elegant bearing, very soft fur, and seems sensitive and mysterious.
Penelope is spayed, healthy, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is current on her vaccines. The vet confirmed that she is a Persian/Russian Blue mix and is between 1 and 2 yrs. old. She had her last check up 2 weeks ago and received a clean bill of health: clean ears, very clean teeth, etc.
Penelope was found at a relative's house. I adopted Penelope out to a home that wanted a "cat sister" for the cat she already had. Although Penelope keeps to herself, the other cat has not gotten used to her presence. Even after 8 months the other cat chases poor Penelope around the house, smacks her in the face, & otherwise makes her little life miserable. We've decided that that home is not a comfortable or happy one for Penelope, so we are now in urgent need of finding a forever, loving home for this sweet cat before she becomes traumatized!
Penelope would probably do best in a quiet home without children or dogs, and would respond to someone who is in tune with animals, who is patient and willing to give Penelope their heart so she can flower and love them as the angel that she is. Penelope is wonderful with kittens, too! If you have motherless kittens, Penelope would be a great surrogate momma as she is very nurturing and protective.
