My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riggs is an approx 1-yr-old BC mix male (we suspect there's some cattledog/heeler in there due to his stocky build) who was rescued from a high-kill Idaho shelter. He was picked up as a stray so we know nothing of his former life, but suspect that it was less than pleasant. He came into rescue in rough physical shape and pretty fearful of people/human touch, but we quickly discovered that the key to his confidence-building was a ball! Riggs will fetch a ball until your arm is screaming, will grab a quick drink and is ready to go again........he is the energizer bunny of the fetching world!

He has made great progress in the confidence-building department, and now craves human attention (and thinks he's a 40-pound lapdog!). He does great with other dogs that don't pick on him, and is happy to have an occasional romp-and-wrestle session with some of the female dogs in his foster home; he'll even give up the ball if they ask nicely for it!

We'll post a more complete bio on Riggs as we learn more about him. He is fully vetted and living in a loving foster home near Casper, WY.
