Purdy's Story...
I’m Purdy, a beautiful little hound mix puppy just patiently waiting for my forever home. I am so darn cute I know you wanna rush right in here and take me home but remember us hounds are active, energetic and like to have lots of fun stuff to do. Sure we can be a little stubborn since our noses likes to tell us what to do sometimes! So I am hoping to find a family who just adores all the great qualities that us hound dogs have to offer, a family that will love everything about me and make a long term commitment to providing all that I need……At only 11 weeks old, this gorgeous little baby is waiting for my life to begin, I sure hope that you are the one to show me the way! 11 weeks old-12lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes; microchip, reduced cost spay/neuter and $25 rebate, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Purdy, a Portland Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
