'TACO' is a young man, approx 10 lbs, and you must put aside any pre-conceived notions about c / hua's because this little dude has broken the mold! He is basically a pure 'lap dog'! This means that any time you sit down to watch TV or just to take a break he won't be far behind and he'll be the 1st to jump in your lap! And before you know it, he will be asleep! In other words he's a snuggle bug!
He is very good with other animals, holds his own w/both the big guys (he curls up on the pet bed next to our shepherd and our rottie), and he loves to hang out w/the little guys. He's good in the car and loves to go for walks! What more can we ask for in a dog!
The main issue is he's not completely house-broken, he does go outside to potty but still can mark!!! But he's being neutured which will help!
He's not a high-strung type-A personality but he can resort to yappi-ness @ times but it's because he definitely has something to say...it's not random yappinesss! This is a dog that does not really like to be alone but he is crate trained and he's ok if you have to go somewhere. He'll put up a fuss in the beginning but then he settles down nicely! Ideally we would like to find a home where he will have company and someone that will see his 'true colors' as a super companion!

I started as a volunteer @ a local animal shelter where I first started realizing how much I truly love working w/animals. They become friends & when they would be euthanized it's incredibly heartbreaking so I became involved in the local rescue group, then started my own!

4:30 - 6:30pm
1) We invite people to attend our adoption fairs to meet the dogs. It's family oriented and children & other dogs are welcome
2) We give them an application if they wish to apply
3) Then we schedule a home visit
4) If all goes well we approve the adoption and fill out an agreement: fee's $150 - 250 depending on age / size
