Spencer Tracy's Story...
Spencer Tracy is very loving, but he is extremely shy as he was taken out of a very bad situation. He will eventually come around, but it will take time. If you want a lap cat now, he will not work for you, but he will talk and come to you, but does not like being picked up. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, combo tested Negative for FELV and FIV, vet checked, and treated for any illness that has come up during her time in rescue. His adoption fee is $200.00 all fees go to help cover past vet bills & maintain rescue kitties with food and medical care it is not negotiated!

We NEVER ship cats and declawing is NOT an option
If you have a question as to why we are against declawing please email us we can send you articles and web site locations to outline the procedure and why we do not agree with it for any cats. We do get cats into rescue that have already been declawed by someone else never us, and those cats are the ones we consider for any homes who want a declawed cat.

Thank you for your interest. As a policy for our rescue we do NOT adopt cats/kittens for gifts. We have to screen the adopter how will be owning the cat. Not a person who is thinking to give as a gift. So if you are looking to adopt for a family member LIVING IN THE SAME HOME AS YOU, then you can apply but if not living in your home we do not adopt. We make no exception to this policy for those wanting to adopt a cat/kitten to give as a gift. If you are interested and want to pay for the adoption fee for the person adopting that is a good way to help them adopt a cat/kitten and we then screen them to adopt and you pay for the adoption fee. This is a good option and has been done before.
We have all our policies to protect our cats and appreciate you thinking of a rescue kitty to adopt but not as a gift.

WE adopt to all of Ohio and the bordering states areas that are within approximately 3 hours drive time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spencer Tracy, a Columbus Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
