My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine a boy who is always ready to cuddle, to chat, or to play. Can you see him? It’s Snowball!

Born in July of 2008, Snowball is a fun cat who just loves being with people. In fact, he tends not to be very shy in his search for attention and love. He is not needy, but checks in regularly with his people to make sure they’re not missing him too much. If it’s been a while since the last cuddle, Snowball is happy to flop down wherever he is and roll over for pets and love. His current favorite spot to “flop” is his foster mom’s bed, but he’ll do it pretty much anywhere if there’s a chance he’ll get some love.

When his foster mom is home he likes to check in with her from time to time in her office, get some pets, and steal and hide her eraser. Did we mention he’s just a little bit mischievous? If Snowball can’t find her, he’ll send out a loud meow until she calls back “Here I am!” After a few pets he’s off again to find new amusement and fun.

Snowball likes to sleep on the bed, but tends to find his own quiet spot to sleep when disturbed by tossing or turning. He comes back at the sound of the alarm clock to get pets first thing in the morning.

Some of Snowball’s favorite things include sitting in front of an open window to watch birds and smell the fresh air, toys on string that can dance and jump (with human assistance), being curled up in a tight ball and held like a baby, and his cardboard scratching post. Snowball also loves the laser light and will chase it endlessly, scrambling to try and capture the red dot for good.

Snowball also likes other cats very much and is looking for a home where he can continue to have the kitty camaraderie that he currently enjoys with his foster brothers and sisters. He plays well with others, and enjoys kitty company when his people are otherwise engaged. Snowball currently lives with a dog and does just fine, although he prefers to play with the other cats in his foster home.

He has nice manners and keeps himself tidy and clean, and lets his foster mom trim his nails easily. He is looking for a home where he can have a cat buddy (or buddies) and enjoy his people.

Snowball, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Snowball, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
