My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jed is a gorgeous black and chestnut colored, long-haired Australian Shepherd mix. We are not positive what he is mixed with, but we believe it to be some sort of retriever (possibly golden or flat coated). Jed was rescued from a high kill shelter on his very last day. He is currently in a foster home in Maryland.

Jed is a male, approximately a year old, and is medium-sized. Jed is the type of dog that will get adopted very quickly, so we are taking applications on him early so he does not have to spend much time in a foster home before being adopted.

Jed is in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and with children and does well with all of them. He shows no aggression of any kind. His foster mom says he is still very shy and scared, and maybe doesn't realize he is now safe. He is not yet housebroken, but we're attributing that to his still being very scared - he appears to have never been on a leash before and is very submissive. He lays down and will roll over submissively when his foster mom tries to walk him. Once he fully realizes he is safe, he should do fine learning to walk on a leash.

Jed was fully vaccinated prior to his arrival in MD, so that he can be adopted right away if there is an approved applicant. He is scheduled to be neutered this week.
