Lil' Red Dog's Story...
Lil’ Red Dog is unbelievable cute. I can’t figure out what his mix might be – he has a red coat (lighter than s setter’s) and blue eyes – maybe he is Irish!

He was born early January, and is a loving, sweet, mellow and adorable little puppy. He was born early January, and is a loving, sweet, mellow and adorable little puppy. He plays great with my other rascals, including the kitties.

He is a little fluff ball, and he is healthy, fat and playful.

He is likely to weigh around 45 pounds when he is full grown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil' Red Dog, a Poway Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Poway, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
