Hello People! My name is Leo and I'm a miracle boy. I'm about four years old, polite and very loving -- and I'm going to look adorable again very soon. I was found wandering the streets of San Diego after being abandoned and neglected by my previous owners. I had a bad ear infection and mange -- and I was really suffering. The shelter decided to put me to sleep - and on that day Bichon FurKids Rescue found me. They took me into a loving foster home where I am being cared for. My foster mom says I'm great with kids, love to be petted, housebroken and want to please. I was an angel when I needed to take my medicine, but I'm all better now and don't need it anymore.
I've passed out of the 'crazy puppy energy phase' and am a pretty mellow guy who likes to be held and to be near my family. Mom thinks I would do best in a family with another dog - so that I don't have to experience being alone or with a stay-at-home human. She says when my hair grows back I'm going to be quite the handsome guy. I am growing white silky hair on my body, with blond on my ears, legs and tail. I weigh about 8 lbs. and have been neutered.
My best friend is my human foster sister (5yo). She lets me sleep with her and follow her around. I let her carry me around, too. I've been taught good manners and will gently ask to sit on your lap. I like to show off when I'm happy by dancing on my hind legs. When I look into your eyes you will see all the love I have to give - especially for my forever family. Please ask for me... I'm Leo, the little lion.
