Riley's Story...
Riley is a 10 month old Yorkie/Chihuahua Mix. His owner surrendered him to a nice lady when she could no longer care for him. Riley is up to date on all of his vaccines as well as current on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. He is totally crate trained, but could use some help with house breaking. He likes other animals and does well with kids. Riley LOVES to go for car rides and is great on a leash. He is a pretty laid back little guy considering his age and breed combo, his favorite activities are sun bathing and stretching out lounging on the bed!

Anyone interested in adopting Riley must be willing to sign an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Jacksonville Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
