Anastasia's Story...
What a pretty little lady I am, sweet as can be too. Anastasia is my name and I am ready for some love. I had a family…well kinda, I was a breeder dog…but they decided to give me up because they lost their home and couldn’t take all us dogs along. I am used to living in the house, I am housebroken and crate trained too. I am great with other dogs, hate cats, and I have never lived with little children before. Since I am a sensitive lady I’m just not looking for all the energy that comes with young kids, so I would prefer a home with kids 6+. Just a soft bed and plenty of love, that’s all I am looking for…. Can I join your family? 6 year old-14lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anastasia, a Portland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
