Jasmine's Story...
As sweet as my name.

I am Jasmine, and I am really as sweet as my name. I am a very shy girl, but I am starting to come around and trust people. When I was young I didn't have very nice experiences with people and I was afraid when humans came towards me. The people at Paws have been working hard to get me to come out of my shell, and now I do let them pet me, especially the male volunteers.
I am shy, but I don't have an aggressive bone in my body. The truth is, I would not hurt a fly. I like to play with string toys and I LOVE feathers. I'm not what you would call a lap cat and I do not like to be picked up. But if you're looking for the comfort of having a beautiful, sweet kitty nearby, then I'm the one.

I'm about 3 1/2 years. I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations and I've tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

I am a sweet girl, I just needed time to learn that humans would not hurt me. Now I am ready to give lots of love to a kind, gentle human who will make me feel safe in my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasmine, a Norwalk Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
