Cindy's Story...
Cindy is a beautiful, sweet. active, playful and energetic, 19-month-old, 55-pound female black lab-mix looking for a loving home. Cindy loves other dogs and people. She knows the commands sit and down, and bonds closely and quickly with new people. She’ll even give you kisses, if you let her. Cindy would do well with someone who is active, and can continue her training. She attends doggie day care and might even make a great agility dog. Since Cindy is exuberant and has puppy energy, she sometimes forgets that she is no longer "puppy size". For that reason she would do best in a home with adults and older children. To meet and possibly adopt Cindy, please call or e-mail Bonnie at bonniebloom@sbcglobal.net or 773-866-2206. Cindy is very healthy, spayed, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordatella, heartworm-tested, de-wormed and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $65 benefits the dogs of FCACC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cindy, a Chicago Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
