About: JR is the sweetest little guy. He is shy with strangers but does not bark. He knows 'sit', takes treats softly and adores attention. He takes a day or two to warm up but after that he is on your heels, crawling in your lap, and has eyes for only you. He loves kids and does well with other dogs. He is crate trained but he is so well behaved his foster mom leaves him out on the lower level during the day. He also loves walks and sits to let you put the leash on and then dances by the door. JR is a great dog - sweet, loving, and well mannered.

If you are interested in J.R. please fill out an Adoption Application or contact us with any additional questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

J.R., a Arlington Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
