My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2
Weight: 36 lbs.

Miley is a fantastic dog! She was found wandering around my apartment complex, and I decided to take her in. Little did I know how much I was going to fall in love with her. Unfortunately, I cannot keep her because my apartment complex doesn’t allow pitbulls. She is a perfectly healthy two-year-old. She is up-to-date on all her shots. Miley is very well-behaved. However, she is still very young and has a lot of energy. She needs some work walking on a leash, but she is a very good listener and is willing to learn and be trained. She does have a tendency to go after small animals, and is very strong to boot, but training will definitely help with that. At night she sleeps on the bed and when there is no one home, Miley is kept in a separate room. She scratches and whines for a few minutes, but then just lies down and goes to sleep. She does exhibit some form of separation anxiety, but I think that can be fixed with training as well. She rides in the car well. Of course she wants to be up front to catch all the action, but will go to the backseat and sit when she is told. She shows no signs of aggression whatsoever. To my knowledge, she hasn’t had any formal obedience training, but I believe she would be a complete joy to take to obedience classes and would learn very quickly. With some prompting, she knows simple commands such as sit and lay down. She is currently living with an older, smaller mutt and in true Miley fashion, can be found cuddling up to the Mutt. Miley is very friendly to everyone and every dog she meets. She constantly yearns to say hello. She has not been around children, so I cannot say if she is good with them or not, but with every new situation and challenge Miley surprises me more and more. I can only imagine that she will adapt well with children. Miley’s ideal home would be one that can give her the attention a two-year-old puppy needs. Miley is full of life. Her tail never stops wagging and she never stops loving. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle up next to you on the couch and take a nice long nap. When you sit on the floor, Miley likes to come and roll over on her back for a good belly rub. She loves to give kisses and likes to be kissed right back. She truly believes she is a lap dog, and at 36 pounds that can be cumbersome, but you soon will find that you don’t want to ask her to get off. Miley loves to love and be loved and deserves nothing more than a fantastic home. Please email Dana at danamk18@gmail.com if you are interested in adding Miley to your family. The adoption fee for Miley is $75 to help cover the cost of her vetting. Miley is located in Kent, Ohio.

This is a courtesy post and Miley is not available for adoption through Alliance for Animals. Please contact Dana at the email address given above. Thank you.
