Ryan's Story...
Ryan is 1 year old and very very handsome....

Here is a note form his foster home:
He's awesome. He will make someone the perfect dog. He walks so well on a leash you can walk him with one finger on the leash. He loves everything and everyone. Dogs, cats, visitors, whatever. I have never seen such a well mannered dog, even with no training, he's great! Holly is working with clicker training already and making progress, but he just is the kind of dog that is perfectly happy walking by your side and laying at your feet. He is curious of cats but doesn't really care to mess with them. The minute he sniffs the cat and the cat turns around, he backs away. I think he is a bit more leery of them then they are of him! He has a low/moderate energy level. He will play with other dogs but prefers to be low key. He so far has had no accidents in the house and we trust him in that regard. He just seems to know what to do. OH and he loves to gaze into your eyes as you pet him and he gives the most gentle little kisses, not slobbery, just sweet.

In this video is Ryan, Wyoming and Oliver.
Ryan is being fostered in CT and he arrived on 12/4/2010....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryan, a Naugatuck Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Naugatuck, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Naugatuck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naugatuck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naugatuck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naugatuck paves the way for another one to be saved.
