Hello! Im Butch. Thats a pretty manly name for a gentle soul like me, but maybe its after the famous bank robber in that movie. He was charming, and so am I! Im a very sweet, friendly cat, but it can take some time for me to get to know you and to get used to new situations, so Ill need you to go very slowly with me and let me come to you. I can be timid and shy at first, but if you are patient with me, I will be a loyal friend for life. Im very scared here at the shelter, and I would really love to get into a home where I can get settled in again, and, most importantly, loved!
I came here to MaxFund because my owner was going through a foreclosure. She was very sad to give me up, and made sure to tell the staff what a great cat I am. I was born under her deck three years ago, and was a bit feral when she took me in, which is why it takes some time for me to trust new people. I was also born with one of my legs not fully formed, but I dont let it slow me down! In fact, you should see me play! I am a maniac with the toys, especially feather toys! Woohoo. I love love love to chase them. I also must admit that I enjoy catnip and will roll all over it.
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle cat to be a lifelong companion, I would be an excellent choice. I am handsome and I love brushing, which is a good way to bond with me. One of my other favorite activities is sleeping on the bed and snuggling, so I would love to have a person to cuddle up to! I also lived with another cat before, so I would be happy with another cat, as long as we had some time to get to know each other. Im not sure how I am around children or dogs. Because I can be timid, I would prefer a quiet home. Im a sweet boy with a lot of love to give some lucky person or family. It may take me some time and patience but I am worth the wait.
