Bijou
In French, “bijou” means jewel, and with features half-amber, half-ebony, this mademoiselle is a unique gem indeed. As sweet as she is striking, 6-year-old Bijou loves to play and explore, and is curious about absolutely everything. Whether it’s sniffing at whatever comes into her foster home or sitting at the window to watch the birds fly by and the squirrels climb trees. Surrendered after her owner’ death, bouncy Bijou loves running around the house and chilling with the other furry, four-footed members of the household. Although not really a “lap” cat, she does cozy up to her foster mom on the couch when she needs some loving and enjoys lying next to her in bed at night. If she could place a “Forever Home Wanted” ad in the paper rather than attend adoption events, she would. And so, in order to meet this marvelous miss, call us or fill out and submit a pre-adoption form. We will be pleased to get back to you to arrange a meet and greet.

If you are interested in adopting Bijou pet, you can start the process and access our pre-adoption application which is located on our website at www.startpets.net , click on "Pet for Adoptions" got application complete the form and send . WE can also be reached at 973-785-1245 or email us at adopt@startpets.net. Please remember—out of state adoptions require additional time for approval; you must be 21 years or older to adopt; an application does not guarantee an adoption; not all animals on our website come to all adoption days.

About Save the Animals Rescue Team, S.T.A.R.T.

About Our Rescue Group...

Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!

It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
