My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Phoebe and I have a mature and dignified personality. Maybe it is because of my long whiskers that hang down to my paws. (I could probably be in the world record books for these amazing beauties!) Speaking of books, I am a writer. I like to sit for long parts of the day and look out the windows here getting the inspiration for my non-fiction. I am thinking about writing down a novel but am not quite sure how to start using those pencil things so I just re-write it over and over again in my head. This keeps me very content during my alone time. But when the affection comes my way I am eager to accept. I keep my long beautiful fur coat in top shape so that petting me feels good for both of us. Sometimes it feels so good I don't want you to leave. Maybe some playtime after affection is a good idea. Then I feel contented to get back to the prose writing and world watching.

I came to Brigid's Crossing the long way. I found a place in Bonita Springs where the famous healing springs were located. It was a spa and resort. I thought, "Well for a homeless beautiful cat like me a spa is the perfect spot!" It was great for the creative side of things as well. There I was fed and became friends with the owners. One of them was also involved in Brigid's Crossing and so I finally ended up in a safe and quiet home here. Not a spa and resort per say, but it is nice.

The only problem here is that I prefer to be away from other cats. I can't concentrate on my creative writing with all of the other distractions going on and I certainly will never figure out that pencil and paper writing technique without a nice family of my own. I promise to never forget you when I am a famous writer if you don't forget about me like my previous owners did. Too bad for them huh? Oh - Goody, I just thought of the next chapter for the book. Phoebe finds hope.
