Ernie's Story...
I am a wonderful, little gem of a gentleman.  I was the one in charge of making all the visitors feel welcome at my last home. Yep, that’s right I am one sweet and friendly little man…I try my darndest to make everyone feel loved.  I am great with other dogs and cats but I am just feeling a little down right now since I don't have my own home….  You know, feeling pretty scared and insecure , so I would love to find a family where all members are old enough to understand how to make me feel safe and secure once again. Won't you take me home and make me feel welcome?
6 year old-7lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
