Monika's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Brown Tabby | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with cats.
FIV/FeLeuk negative, DOB July 1, 2008. Dear little Monika was rescued from a feral cat colony this winter. She was only 4lbs and was so skinny the vets had to put her on fluids. Now that she is nice and fat this girl is a gem who will stun you with her beauty.
She is shy and sweet, curious and affectionate. She is okay with other cats as long as you introduce them slowly. She should only go to a home with children that are older than 8 years old, or with no children at all.
Monika came to us after she was seen trying to survive outdoors in the winter. She was extremely timid at first, but once she got used to us and her surroundings, we have gotten to see her sweet personality! She loves rubbing against people or other cats! She also loves eating, and races about excitedly at bedtime, when it's bedtime treat time! She will do well in a home where she can enjoy calmness, affection, sunshine, toys, and lots of gentle rubs!

Rescue Group Info...
Toronto Cat Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit, 100% volunteer group. TCR helps find homes for homeless, abandoned, sick or injured cats, as well as helps cats escape situations of abuse, neglect, or imminent euthanasia. TCR relies on volunteers to foster cats in their homes until a cat lover comes along to adopt them, so we know the cats personalities in a home setting! TCR saves cats from Toronto, GTA & Kitchener area.
Decided on the kitty you would like to adopt? Please call the TCR Hotline - 416-538-8592 (press 1 for adoptions and leave a message) or email: tcr.adoptions@gmail.com for a pre-adoption interview.
An adoption coordinator will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.
Next you will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your kitty home with you (in a safe carrying case).
Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It also includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
