Maxie's Info...

I am good with kids and good with dogs.

Maxie's Story...
I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner didn't have time for me so, I'm looking for a new family! I'm about 2 years old and 49lbs. I'm said to be good with other dogs. I'm good with kids too but I do get excited around them! I don't really know very many commands but I seem to know how to sit! I sure would love if you'd teach me more! Thus far I've been kept outside but it really would be nice if my new family would keep me indoors and let me be part of the family! I will be adopted out on a spay contract which includes a monetary deposit that will be refunded when you provide proof from your veterinarian that I have been altered, which MUST be done within 30 days of my adoption!! If you are interested in me and you can provide a loving responsible forever home please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number! If you don't plan to honor the adoption contract and have me spayed and keep me up to date on my shots, please do not inquire about adopting me.4/7

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ALTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION OR BY SIX MONTHS OF AGE!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxie, a Ladysmith Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
