Brooks's Story...
Oh my goodness, Oh My Goodness!! How cute am I? Wait, don’t answer that, let me tell you a bit about myself first- I mean I am about waaaay more than just pure cuteness! I am a Dachshund/Terrier mix, born January 30 2010. That means I am only 10 weeks old, just a baby still so I will need lots of love, lots of training and lots of guidance. I mean really, I do wanna grow up to be the bestest little dog I can be! I have these short little legs and looong body, so darn cute! My momma, also a terrier/dachshund mix weighs a whopping 12 pounds! And I expect myself to be just as big and beautiful as my momma. Ok, some of you don’t think that 12 pounds is all that big, so maybe you’re right…but in my eyes my momma is grand! I sure hope that I grow up to be as sweet and gentle as she is, with your help I’m sure I will be! Ok you can tell me now, how cute am I?

My adoption fee is $280 and includes; microchip, reduced cost spay/neuter and $25 rebate, reduced training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, dog food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brooks, a Portland Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
