I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Shorty's Story...
Shorty is a 3 year old, white, neutered, terrier that weighs 25 pounds. He is a very sweet, loving, friendly dog. He loves kids and adults - men and women. He does well with other dogs. He probably would not hurt cats but would definitely give chase if they run. Shorty is very smart and adapts quickly. But, he is an escape artist, so he needs a securely fenced yard. He doesn't climb but will jet out if the gate or door is opened and you are not watching. He walks on a leash, loves baths, and loves attention. He is very competitive when it comes to attention, so he would do better with only one other dog in the home. He has an umbilical hernia but it doesn't seem to bother him. Please call to see if this dog will be at the Saturday adoption site. This dog cannot be adopted out of state. If you are interested in Shorty, please call Linda at 619-282-4541.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shorty, a Spring Valley Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
