Lilah's Story...
Oh my goodness, am I just the most darling little thing you ever did see? I am probably a Shiba Inu mix of some sort. When you meet me you are going to want to cuddle, hug and kiss me and that’s gonna be just fine with me! I’ll give you all that love right back. I have some history under my tiny little belt but unfortunately we don’t know exactly what it is. See I came all the way from Georgia and prior to what the good folks who saved me know there really is no record of my past. Am I housebroken? Who cares, I can learn if I’m not! I am a smart little thing! I do great with other dogs. I would love to meet ya, ask for Lilah! 2 years old-21lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and include adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilah, a Portland Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
