My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mickey is Adopted

Mickey is currently fostered in a temporary foster home in Oklahoma City, and will be transported to Ohio in a few weeks.
We are accepting applications on him, and his temporary foster is available to answer any questions regarding his temperment etc.
His adoption donation is $250

Mickey is a 4 yr old(approx) black and white cocker spaniel with a natural tail.
He was left in the overnight drop box at a shelter in Oklahoma, so we do not have any history on him.

He has been in his foster home for almost 2 weeks now, and the only word his foster can use to describe him is WONDERFUL!!
She says that if there is such a thing as a perfect dog, it is definitely Mickey.
He is affectionate, and loveable, he has a super sweet laid back temperment, and is so quiet and well behaved.
Mickey may have been abused in some way in his past, because he tends to cower and get scared when people reach out to pet him too quickly.
He is not aggressive or nippy in any way, but is a little hesitant, as if he may have been hurt at some point in his life.
Once he warms up to people, he is just a total lovebug, and enjoys being on your lap, and cuddling up for a nap.
He follows his foster around the house, and is a typical velcro cocker.

Mickey gets along with the other dog in his foster home, and they play together very nicely.
He is housetrained for the most part, but has had a few marking incidents when he first came into foster care, (this could be because he is not yet neutered, but will be shortly)

Mickey has done well with his fosters grandchild, however, because of his possible abuse in his past, small children with quick movements might be too frightening for him, he may need to be in an adult only home, or a home with older children.

Mickey is up to date on vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption.

If you would like to adopt Mickey or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application.

We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt.

We do not ship dogs.
Pet needs to be picked up at foster home.
In some cases we may be able to assist with transport.

We would love to have more foster volunteers so we can rescue and rehome more cocker spaniels. If you are interested in fostering or learning more about it, please complete a Foster Application Here and one of our wonderful volunteers will be in touch!
