Addy's Story...
This is Addy. She is the sweetest little overweight basset ever. She was given to a rescue in New Mexico because the owners didn’t have time for her and ended up in Tucson to be driven to the Phoenix area for fostering. She is very happy, perky, bouncy, and a lover. She loves people and gets along great with her foster brothers and sister. We are not sure about cats and kids, because we don’t have any, but I can’t imagine her having issues with any living thing. We have her on a low calorie diet, but even though she is over weight she is a tiny basset. She snores and loves to cuddle. She is just the happiest little thing ever. She can keep herself entertained by throwing her own toys around for hours. I can’t imagine any one not loving her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Addy, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
