Stuart's Story...
Hi My name is Stuart. My mom knew she was going to have me and tried to find shelter in an apartment. Some kind people took my sister, mom, and me into their place and fed us until they realized they could not care of us. The animal protection picked us up and took us to the pound. Our time to live was almost up and my foster mom knew out lives were in danger so she drove many miles to save us so we could live a happy life. We are now well fed and have a nice clean and safe room to sleep and play in each day and night. I am very much of a lap kitty. I just want to sit on my foster mom's lap and sleep near her. I love people so please find it in your heart to adopt me so I can be special in someone's life everyday. I will be ready for adoption in May.

(If you're interested in adoptiong this little sweety, please contact wecr@live.com)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stuart, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
