My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yoshi is a 6 or 7 year old quaker parrot. He does not show signs of being cage possessive, but he does prefer to spend most of his day running around inside or on top of his cage. He'll sit for hours on his cage door chattering and kissing back and forth. While in or on his cage he readily accepts and welcomes all scritches, kisses, and interaction. He does seem to prefer his foster mom to his foster dad, but he seems to be able to sense comfort levels and will readily interact with any confident person. He LOVES to have the top of his head scratched and could sit there all day pushing his head further in your hand asking you to scratch more. He hasn't shown much interest in new toys, but has several toys he came with that he adores. He loves bath time in his water dish and prefers to be out where the action is. He is a pretty quiet bird but makes a noise like a dogs squeaky toy when he wants your attention. He loves to give kisses and comes running out of his cage in the morning to give you a great big one. He is an absolute joy to be around and would make an excellent addition to any loving home.
