Paws's Story...
Paws is a mostly-dachshund about two years old. He had a great owner until circumstances forced her to give him up. He has complete vet records and has been very healthy. Paws is and needs to be an inside pet, and he loves to play and sit/sleep on your lap. If you want a snuggly sweet best friend and playmate, he is for you!
He requires a fenced area in which to play safely, or leash walked several times each day.
You may contact this precious little guy's foster home at giveawag@aol.com, or call HSCC at 918-457-7997. He deserves a loving family asap! Paws is interacting very well with the other dogs in his foster home, and gets along well with people.
Just click on the link below to send an application. The adoption fee is $100, which includes shots, neuter, heartworm testing, worming. FREE informational DVD & booklet and 5 lb. bag of dog food.
Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paws, a Tahlequah Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
