My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fostered in Maryland

I'm looking for a happy ending; do you think it could be with you?
Here's my story: life started out great. I was born to a breeder's show dog and my mom spent a LOT of money for me. I had a terrific time with her and my 2 small canine companions for years. Then something terrible happened. Mom died suddenly with only us little dogs there. It was so scary and we didn't know what to do...so we just lay next to her. She had arranged for us to go to someone who promised to use the other assets she left him to take care of us. You guessed it; he didn't. He hardly took care of us at all and we became very malnourished and unhealthy. A nice lady convinced him to give us up and we came to this Sanctuary on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I now get great food and care and am very happy with my foster mom. But a life with lots of Shih Tzus really isn't the life for me; I'm a Lhasa Apso! I need to be someone's lap warmer, with maybe one or two other animals to play with. If I were in a home where I was cherished and treated like the regal Tibetan dog I am, life would be happily ever after for me. I'm only 6 years old so I have lots of love to give for a long time. I am just the best snuggler in the world; pick me up and I melt into you. I'm now very healthy, am neutered and up to date with vaccinations. Oh, and by the way, everyone says I'm a very good boy at the groomer and the vet. I am housetrained but have a problem with wanting to mark inside sometimes. A comfy belly band will solve that problem. And I must tell you the truth-my pictures here don't begin to show how good looking I am. No, seriously! Don't you want to come meet me and find out for yourself?

I am not with American Lhasa Apso Club Rescue. They "courtesy posted" me for Shih Tzu Sanctuary, so be sure to call Billie about me.
