Cleopatra in Dallas's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Cleopatra in Dallas's Story...
We live in North Dallas, have a healthy 3 year old (11/11/06) spayed female Jack Russell, up to date on all shots etc. She was the loved companion of our wolfhound, who recently died. We previously lived in the country, now have only a medium yard.We would like to place her in a better home than we can now offer. She is continental KC registered, very social with humans. She is aggressive to other dogs, I don't know if she would really fight or if it is just noise. We have 3 cats and she has never harmed them, but she can play quite roughly. I would not describe her as cat safe. She is fine with older kids, does not snap or growl, in fact is a sweetie, but she has never had contact with small kids. She adores attention and in fact is obedient, except that she runs away if distracted by anything at all. She has no traffic sense. She is not destructive, for example we have seen no evidence of her digging. She is used to horses (we had 2 at our previous address) and never chased them. She goes happily in the car but can be travel sick. She eats very well, is not fussy. Contact Alison.Dobbie@UTSouthwestern.edu

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleopatra in Dallas, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
