Roxie's Story...
Little Roxie is a boxer mix and she was born around September 28. She's had her first set of shots and is just a playful little pooch! She has very short hair and is so bright!! Roxie is starting to get the concept of training and although she does miss at times, she's doing well. As a puppy, she of course loves to nibble on things and people so please be prepared for training. She's so cute and when she gets tired she'll crawl into your lap and fall asleep. She needs a ton of attention and training and we will not adopt to anyone who is not home most of the day. Roxie is starting to calm down somewhat because she's feeling more secure and happy. In her few short weeks of life she's been separated from her mother and siblings, sold on a street corner to someone who decided she couldn't keep her, brought to the vet, and now finally we have her in our safe haven. She needs a "forever" home with people who are willing to train little Roxie. We also think it's best that there are no little children because she has very sharp puppy teeth and plays rough! Like we said, please have the patience and knowledge to train this beautiful baby girl. If you would like some more info, please call Bobbi at 718-845-0779 or 917-213-9840. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Freeport Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
