Dewey's Story...
Meet Louie and Dewey. Their mom was found as a stray outside before she had a litter of 5 kittens, which included Dewey and Louie. They were born on February 8, 2010.

Dewey and Louie have great personalities. Dewey is the more energetic kitty and loves to play and run around non-stop. He also constantly talks. He tries to rub his face on whatever he can find, and he will flop onto his back at any given moment. Louie is the more laid-back kitty; Louie will let you hold him for as long as you like. Both kitties are very playful and inquisitive. Dewey and Louie can always be found near each other. Usually, if Louie runs off to explore, Dewey will call him and run to Louie when he calls back. Dewey and Louie are incredibly sweet, gentle, loving kitties that will play their little hearts out one minute, and curl up in your lap the next minute.

Dewey and Louie would prefer a home together. Their adoption fee will include them being tested for fiv/leukemia, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and fixed. If you're interested in adopting this pair, please fill out an adoption application at www.rescueahart.org. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dewey, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
